

Watson was an avid bowler and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. He worked for 40 years with the National Park Service before retiring. Watson moved to Dallas at the age of 22 where he met and married Georgia Ann Bowen. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management. He was a 1944 graduate of Bearstown Central School. Jeff Alexander Watson, age 90, died in his home in Bearstown on April 13, 2016.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. His legacy lives on with his grandchildren Anthony Porter and wife Liv of Dallas, Texas, Gabe Murillo and Liz of Crowley, Texas, Isabella Porter of Grand Prairie, Texas, Alex Murillo of Fort Worth, Texas, Sam Murillo of Fort Worth, Texas, Jenna Murillo of Fort Worth, Texas, and Lance Porter of Grand Prairie, Texas, and great-grandchildren Noah Alanis and Lalo Murillo. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters Jennifer Murillo and husband Rick of Fort Worth, Texas and Jessica Porter and husband Jason of Grand Prairie, Texas, brother Donald Sample and wife Evelyn of Irving, Texas, sister Patsy Peavler and husband Pete of Irving, Texas, niece Tiffany Tarr and husband Brent of Irving, Texas. He also greatly loved spending time with his grandbabies.

Robert was known to enjoy going to the casino. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved his horses and was a bare back bronc rider. He was the owner and operator of Sample Trucking Inc in Grand Prairie, Texas. Robert honorably served his country in the U.S. Robert passed peacefully on Monday, Februat the age of 76.

Robert Sample was born on Novemin Bennington, Oklahoma to Oscar and Christine (Williams) Sample.
